Garnett Council No.8
 
On Monday 13th March Garnett Council No 8 met at Lancaster Masonic Hall.
 
After opening the Council the W.M. W.Bro. George Hargreaves welcomed the members and guests to the meeting.

The main business of the evening was to perform a demonstration of the St.Lawrence the Martyr Ceremony, Neil McGill acted as Candidate. The Lecture was presented by W.Bro. Tony Harrison
 
Garnett Council is the only Council our Reporter is aware of that wears Aprons and Collars of the Degree.
 
After all the business was concluded one of the Guests, Paul Snape the District Grand Prefect congratulated W.Bro. Hargreaves and all the members of the Council for the high standard of Ritual worked in the Demonstration Ceremony.
 
He also congratulated the following Brethren W.Bro. Jack Craig on his first Appointment as District Grand Steward, W.Bro. Neil McGill and Geoff Bury on their forthcoming promotion to Past District Grand Senior Deacon, this news was met by spontaneous applause.
 
In reply George Hargreaves thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him at dinner.
 
Following the meeting everyone enjoyed a sumptuous homemade Steak Pie Chips and Pea Supper followed by Profiteroles.
